Bucci Industries reaffirms its commitment to sustainability by joining the program promoted by Lufthansa. As a corporate customer, the Group has chosen to invest in the purchase of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), thus helping to reduce CO2 emissions from business flights by up to 80%.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy that places sustainability at the core of the Group’s development plan. Bucci Industries has also joined the DHL GoGreen Plus project and the corporate SAF program by Air France and KLM. A concrete commitment that involves every aspect of logistics and corporate mobility, documented each year in the Sustainability Report.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a sustainable fuel for aircraft produced from renewable raw materials such as used cooking oils, agricultural waste, animal by-products, and other types of biomass.
Unlike traditional fossil fuels, SAF can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80% over its entire life cycle. This is possible because the CO2 released during combustion is largely offset by the amount absorbed by the raw materials during their growth or formation, creating a more balanced carbon footprint.
In addition, SAF contains fewer impurities than fossil fuel, also helping to reduce local pollutants such as particulate matter and nitrogen oxides. This makes it one of the most effective tools for decarbonizing the aviation industry in the short and medium term.
The Lufthansa Group is one of the leading advocates of a low-emission aviation industry.
Through a structured plan that combines SAF investments, adoption of more efficient technologies, and emissions offsetting, Lufthansa aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
More than 1,500 corporate customers have joined the Group’s SAF program, demonstrating how collaboration among companies is key to building a more sustainable future.
The investment in sustainable fuel is part of a broader strategic vision that places sustainability at the heart of Bucci Industries' industrial and managerial decisions.
From reducing emissions in logistics to circular economy projects in manufacturing processes, the Group is committed to building a responsible, innovative, and future-oriented business model.
